14 Ways to Say "I Love You"

Love is all around us. It comes from those we care about, friends, family, teachers, classmates, even strangers. However, how often do we explicitly say “I love you”? Often love manifests in quieter ways; gentle inquiries, small favors, time well spent. I made this book to remind us that love is all around us. The love we put into the world is the love that gets returned to us.

Often during important moments in my life or stressful periods of time, my mom writes me notes. These notes have become a way for me to reflect, and they are a very specific way that she shares her love with me. In a way, this book serves the same purpose as those notes. It allows me to reflect on one truth that I will never doubt – I am loved.

The notes from my mom inspired the construction paper elements of this design. Each title is handwritten as well to add to the feeling of the entire book being a note to the people I love.
